Kenny Wax Ltd is one of the leading production companies operating in the West End and on tour. We are looking for experienced, collaborative and proactive candidates to join our team for Christmas Carol Goes Wrong on tour in the UK and in the West End.

Contract: Fixed Term UKT/Equity and SOLT/Equity Contract

Contract Dates: 14 September 2026 – 29 February 2027 (exact dates TBC)

Rehearsals (London): 14 September – 18 October 2026

Tech (Bromley): 19 – 25 October 2026

Performances: 26 October – 29 February 2027

Possible Extension: TBC – Subject to change

Performance Location: Various UK touring venues & Wyndham’s Theatre (West End)

Personal Attributes

We are seeking applicants with previous Company Stage Management experience. The role requires exceptional people skills and the ability to work in a highly pressured environment. Strong knowledge of Health & Safety procedures is desirable due to the physicality of the show. Last‑minute cast changes are common, so adaptability is essential.

Job Description

Supervise and lead the entire company

Liaise with the production manager, venue technical management and theatre management

Schedule the company’s weekly hours

Retain a working knowledge of the stage management show plots (excluding the book) to cover unexpected absences

Ensure the safest possible working environment and adherence to all Health & Safety procedures, including accident reports and attending regular H&S meetings

Compile and distribute show reports

Create and distribute the weekly schedule

Complete weekly payroll

Manage the petty cash float using the Pleo online system within the weekly budget

Liaise with Press & Marketing regarding interviews and related activity

Carry out ad‑hoc hospitality duties for VIP guests

Schedule and supervise understudy rehearsals with the Associate Director

Act as the primary point of contact for personnel or pastoral issues

Undertake any other reasonable duty normally expected of a Company Stage Manager

Person Specification

Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail

Proactive and flexible attitude

Previous UK touring experience

Previous experience leading a team

Ability to work well with actors and creative teams

Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively

Confidence in leading sensitive conversations

Awareness of current Health & Safety legislation

Strong working knowledge of UK Theatre & SOLT Equity and BECTU Agreements
